Triangles

Triangles, the game of connecting stars

Stars are scattered across the screen. Take turns drawing a line between two stars, without crossing lines already drawn. The line that closes a triangle with no stars in it earns you a point. Whoever has closed the most triangles wins.

Available on the App Store (iPhone, iPad) and on Google Play (Android).

Start of a Triangles game on a phone, in landscape, Meadow theme: 24 stars, red and green lines, 4 colored triangles, score 2 to 2.

The idea in one example

Three stars A, B and C. Player 1 draws A–B, Player 2 draws B–C. Only the side A–C is missing: Player 1 draws it, closes triangle ABC and scores 1 point.

ABC
After two lines: the side A–C is missing.
ABC
The line A–C closes triangle ABC: one point for Player 1.

A line can also close two triangles at once (2 points), and a triangle that contains a star does not count. The rules explain each case in detail, and the examples show them move by move.
